“I have been Warren’s line manager in the Channel Islands for the past two years. It has been a pleasure to work with him in his production and presentation of our sports output for Jersey & Guernsey across TV, Radio & Digital.

“In his time with us Warren has transformed our sports offer – from primarily a linear audio service – to a “digital first” online and social presence, alongside audio and TV.

“Warren has well-developed commentary skills. We benefitted from these in his coverage of island rugby and football. When the Jersey Reds collapsed – the regular commentary stopped – as did our coverage of professional rugby. Warren recognised the challenge and re-positioned our Saturday afternoon sports show – to be community focussed and to appeal to a broad sport and leisure audience and not just “die-hard” sports fans. We have seen the success of this policy in increased audience growth after the last 4 RAJAR reports.

“He lead our teams at the 2023 Island Games in Guernsey and has championed our coverage of less high-profile sports and those enjoyed in our parish communities. Warren has been a source of support and guidance for colleagues required to cover sports matters and has been a respected and well-regarded member of the Channel Island teams.”
